Office Scavenger Hunts That Do Not Disrupt the Floor

The Scavenger Hunt Apps Foundation publishes independent research. Comparisons are criteria-led and are not paid placements.

Indoor constraints

Office hunts fail when they block fire exits, interrupt client calls, or require running. Design for walking, whispering, and optional participation.

Hybrid teams

If some people are remote, do not run a building-only GPS race and call it inclusive. Pair on-site object hunts with parallel virtual tasks, or run two heats.

Clue types that work at a desk

Find a policy poster, photograph a plant (no faces), answer a question from the intranet, scan a QR on a shared printer. Avoid clues that single out personal desks.

Tools

You need: easy join on work Wi‑Fi, no assumption that personal app-store accounts work, and a way to pause. Native, web, and hybrid vendors can all do this; the constraint is usually IT policy, not branding. Check the directory filters for web-app join and QR missions.
